Gothenburg based Mathilda Brink have emerged as one of Sweden’s most interesting young artists. Starting out with two self-released singles in 2017 Swedish blogs quickly hailed her songwriting while comparing here to artists such as Angel Olsen. Since then, Mathilda have shared the stage with prominent Swedish acts such as HOLY, Dolce and Wildhart. Even though her music is all in Swedish her universal sound have grabbed the attention from listeners worldwide.
In March 2019 Mathilda Brink’s debut album Maestro was released via Fading Trails Recordings. The full-length is a collection of 10 songs that were recorded with and produced by Thomas E. Frank (Den Stora Vilan).
Maestro showcases Brink’s capabilities as a songwriter, combining influences from grunge, folk, indie and rock. This, put together with Mathilda’s unique vocals, creates a meeting between the past and the contemporary in Mathilda Brink’s very own way.
Live, Mathilda is joined by her band which consists of Molly Browne, Filippa Von Liewen Wistrand, Klara Goliger and Casper Lundström.
